Law of Attraction
Our thoughts, emotions and feelings act as a powerful magnet, attracting circumstances into our lives. Whether these circumstances are positive or negative, is completely dependent on how we think.
The Law of Attraction says that we attract into our lives, that upon which we place our dominant thoughts. In other words, if we focus predominantly on abundance, solutions and positive outcomes then that is exactly what we will attract back into our lives. There is a dangerous flip side to this law however,if we focus on lack, problems and negative outcomes, then that is exactly what we will attract.
For an example of the power of the Law of Attraction, you need look no further than your own life. Have you ever had one of those days, where everything seems to go wrong? From the cold shower to the burnt toast to the traffic ticket on the way to the office, to the grouchy boss, to the difficult customer, we have all experienced those days. It all starts with the way we think. Our thought patterns attract the first negative experience. This experience then puts us in a negative frame of mind which works to attract further bad situations. The more we focus on the bad day we are having, the worse things get.
Thoughts become Things
When you’re looking for peace and happiness, you have unlimited time. We tend to get caught up and anxious. We want everything to happen now. The Universe doesn’t always work on the schedule we want. We need to give it some time. So what do we do while we wait? Find things you love to do and do them. Read a book. Watch a classic movie with someone you care about. Dance around the house listening to your favorite artist while you’re doing chores.
Doing things you love to do increases the positive energy you send out into the universe. It speeds the process by which the universe can work to bring you that peace and happiness full time. So do something fun for yourself.
If you have a gift or talent, hone in on it and perfect it. Do you sing, write, or dance? Are you good in math, do you speak a second language, hone in on it. Learn to use your God given talents and all of us have them. There are those who are lazy and don’t want to do anything, but for most of us, rolling up their sleeves, doing some good old fashioned hard work will keep our mind off defeat.
Consider your true potential. If you’ve never been told what your true potential is. Would you be surprised to learn that it’s infinite? That’s right! You and I and everyone else are created from the same stuff that the universe is made of. The potential of the universe is unlimited. So is ours. This will go a long way in helping the laws of attraction work for you.
Take the kids shopping: Sounds crazy, right? You shop ahead to be done, but still end up taking the kids to the mall. If you take your children shopping, and allow them to pick out gifts for a few select people, you let them experience the joy of giving-and it is very interesting to note the items that they choose to give. Let siblings purchase gifts for one another, or for a few special people in their lives.
Having pure motives is the only way to live out the truth of this text. No hidden agendas. No manipulation. manifesting the love of God only. Hard? Yes. Impossible? No. Remember, from our introductory lesson, “With God, all things are possible.” (See Matt. 19:26.).
Bring back your Confidence. When you have it, everyone knows it. Ever watch Undercover Boss? Where a wealthy CEO becomes a worker undercover to “spy” on how his company is doing? The other workers see him as a rookie just learning a job. Their Perception of him is lower-class, even though he is a multi-millionaire. What is YOUR perception of YOU. Do you see yourself with a successful business? Are you limitless? If you’ve lost your confidence, where can you look to find it?
